Rivers of Ruffles...

Boy, I have to tell you....if I don't have to make another ruffle for awhile, I'll be a happy camper, hahaha. I joined Shawnee's One Moore Ruffled Apron Swap...the apron had to be from Morgan Moore's Tutorial OR a similar pattern, hence the "Moore." I chose to make my partner's apron from the pattern "Pretty Pastoral," from The Perfect Apron by Rob Merrett. It includes three deep ruffles and a very flattering bib. My partner, Melinda, asked for "black and white with bright colors and I also love pink and feminine." Well, I managed to cram ALL that into one apron! I used mostly Michael Miller fabric, using the Gypsy Bandana and Lush, and Picnic ginghams. I threw in some Bella Flora by Studio, and a black & white dot from JoAnn Fabrics. Here's the apron - I made straight-grain tape from the dot and edged the bottoms of each ruffle to make the fabrics pop...

Of course, the Ruffle-Kerfuffle didn't stop there...I made a matching ruffled potholder...and added a single ruffle to one of my Shoop-Shoop Bags...

And embellished a raspberry dishtowel with yet MORE ruffles...

At this point, I was getting a bit tired of ruffling, but I ruffled on...and finished the package off with a ruffled tote!
Front

And the back, with a divided pocket

I made a jelly roll of about 20 fabrics...
As for the extra goodies, I included three spools of thread, a bamboo point presser and turner, a package of flathead "button" pins, and three packages of beads...

And here it is altogether! I hope my partner LOVES her apron swap package as much as I had fun making it! Thanks, Shawnee, for another wonderful swap...even if I AM tired of ruffles now ;-)
